Introduction

Power Poker League LLC ("we", "us", "our", "PPL") operates the Power Poker League mobile application (the "App") and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the App.

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Important: PPL is a tournament management and league administration tool for poker enthusiasts. We do not facilitate, process, or take part in any wagers, gambling, or money transmission. League organizers are solely responsible for compliance with the gambling and gaming laws of their jurisdiction.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide

• Account information: name, email address, password (encrypted), optional profile photo
• Profile information: display name, avatar, notification preferences
• League and event content: tournament results, chip counts, eliminations, payouts, blind structures, scoring configurations, league rules, and notes you create
• Communications: announcements, side bets, messages you send or receive within the App
• Content you upload: photos (e.g., profile picture)

b. Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, language/locale
• Usage data: features accessed, screens viewed, and crash/error reports (used to improve the App)
• Push notification token: a unique identifier issued by Apple or Google, used only to send notifications you've opted into

c. Information Collected with Your Permission

• Camera: used for scanning QR codes during event check-in. Images and video are processed on-device and are not stored or transmitted.
• Location (when in use): used to display event venue maps. Your real-time location is not tracked, logged, or shared.
• Contacts: accessed only if you choose to invite contacts to a league. The list is read locally on your device; only contacts you explicitly select to invite are sent to our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Operate, maintain, and improve the App
• Calculate scores, leaderboards, and tournament results
• Send push notifications about events, scoring, and league activity (you can disable these in Notification Preferences)
• Sync data with your league's connected CRM (see Section 4)
• Detect, prevent, and address technical, security, or fraud issues
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your personal information.

3. How We Share Your Information

Within Your League

League organizers and other members can see your display name, avatar, and tournament results. Leaderboards and standings are visible to all members of leagues you join.

With Service Providers

We share information with the following third-party services that power the App. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

For Legal Reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PPL, our users, or others.

Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. You will be notified through the App or by email of any change in ownership.

4. GoHighLevel CRM Integration

Some leagues connect their account to a CRM powered by GoHighLevel. When this is enabled by your league organizer, the following data may be synced to your organizer's CRM subaccount:

• Display name and email address
• League membership and event participation
• Tournament results, attendance, and standings

Your league organizer — not PPL — controls this CRM and any communications sent through it (email, SMS, voice). Those communications are governed by your organizer's privacy practices and applicable consumer-protection laws (e.g., CAN-SPAM, TCPA). To opt out of CRM communications from a specific league, contact that league's organizer directly or leave the league.

5. Push Notifications

If you grant permission, we send push notifications via Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) or Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). Notification categories include event reminders, scoring updates, league announcements, side-bet activity, and check-in confirmations.

You can:

• Disable individual categories in the App's Notification Preferences
• Disable all notifications in your device's system settings

6. Data Security

• All app data is stored in Supabase using PostgreSQL with Row-Level Security policies that prevent unauthorized access
• Passwords are hashed using industry-standard cryptographic functions and never stored in plain text
• All network communication between the App and our backend uses HTTPS encryption
• API keys and secrets are stored in encrypted server-side environments

No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We work to protect your information using industry-standard practices but cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

• While your account is active: your account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
• When you delete your account: your personal information — including your name, email address, profile photo, contact information, payment handles, and push notification token — is permanently removed and replaced with anonymous placeholders, except where we are required to retain it by law. Account access is permanently disabled at the time of deletion.
• Statistical data is retained in anonymized form: your historical league activity (event participation, tournament results, scores, payouts) is preserved without your personal identifiers so that leaderboards, Power Rankings, and league statistics remain accurate. The anonymized record cannot be linked back to you and is not used for any purpose other than league record-keeping.
• Re-registration: you may register a new account with the same email address after deletion. The new account will start fresh and cannot be linked to any previous account or its anonymized data — old stats, achievements, and league memberships cannot be recovered.

8. Your Rights and Choices

All Users

• Access: view your data within the App at any time
• Update: edit your profile, preferences, and content in the App
• Delete your account: two methods:
  • In-app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account
  • By email: [email protected]
• Disable notifications: by category in the App, or globally in device settings
• Revoke permissions (camera, location, contacts): in your device's system settings

California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

You have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or sell
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (PPL does not sell personal information)
• Non-discrimination for exercising your rights

You have the right to:

• Access, rectify, or erase your personal data
• Restrict or object to processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Our legal bases for processing are your consent and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the App. Submit requests to [email protected].

9. Children's Privacy

Power Poker League is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the App, you consent to such transfers, subject to appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
